How is the price calculated?

Grams of material × the per-gram rate, plus machine hours × $2.64, plus $1.65 handling — every rate GST-inclusive. The quote tool measures your actual file's geometry to get the grams and hours — nothing is estimated by eye. Minimum order is $27.50, GST included.

Why are you cheaper than a bureau?

Bureaus pay people to quote, schedule, and babysit prints. Our software does those jobs, so you stop paying for them. Same machines, same plastic — a fraction of the labour.

Question 3

Is there a minimum order?

$27.50 including GST. If your order comes in under that, add a second part or bump the quantity — the quote tool shows you when the minimum is doing the talking.

Can I get a formal quote document or pay by PO?

Every quote has a reference (like Q-20615) you can put on a PO. For account terms and POs on runs of 50+, email hello@assysts.com.

Question 5

Do prices include GST? Can I get a tax invoice?

Every price on the site is in AUD and includes GST — what you see is what you pay. A tax invoice comes with every order, so claiming it as a business expense is painless.

Question 6

Which material should I pick?

Accepted Answer

Indoors and no load: PLA. Outdoors or warm: PETG or ASA. Carrying real force: PA-CF. The materials page has the full table, and the choosing-a-material guide in Resources walks the decision tree.

Question 7

What tolerances do you hold?

±0.25 mm in general, or ±0.3% over 100 mm. Add a dimensional QC report at checkout and we measure your critical dimensions against the drawing.

Question 8

What if a part arrives wrong or fails QC?

Every part is inspected before packing, but if something slips through, we reprint it or refund it — your call, at our cost. The QR ticket tells us exactly which machine and spool to check. Nothing here limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Question 9

Do you offer resin (SLA) or nylon powder (SLS) printing?

Not yet — FDM only, on purpose, run extremely well. SLA and SLS are on the roadmap; if your part genuinely needs them today, we'll say so at quote time rather than print it badly. Email hello@assysts.com and we'll tell you when they land.

Question 10

How fast is "2–3 days"?

That's from order to dispatch for PLA and PETG at standard layer height. Fine layers, finishing, and big batches each add about a day — the quote shows the real date before you pay.

Do you ship outside Sydney?

Australia-wide, tracked, from our Sydney floor — flat $16.50 express, free over $165 in parts. Sydney metro usually lands next day after dispatch. The shipping page has the full rules, including the order cutoff.

Can I rush a job?

Accepted Answer

The queue is scheduled by software, so genuinely urgent jobs can jump it — email us with the quote reference and we'll tell you honestly what's possible.

Question 13

What file formats do you take?

STL, STEP, and 3MF, exported in millimetres. STEP is best — exact geometry, no faceting. The upload checks your mesh and repairs small problems automatically.

Question 14

What happens to my files?

They're stored securely in private cloud storage, opened only to slice, price, and print your order. We never print, share, or remix customer geometry for anyone else. Deletion on request, any time — details in the privacy policy.
